Materialize Contest - Mattershots Material Replication 01

This is my entry for the Materialize Contest, here is the reference:

Unfortunately I am not really satisfied with it, I tried to push it as far as I can, I reworked the base shape a couple of times (maybe too many times... ;) ) and replicating the overlapping shapes was harder than expected but after many tests this is what I came up with, hope you like it and feel free to c&c.
